How to Increase your Concentration in Studies
Students’ life require concentration in studies. An efficient study is achieved only if you study with your full attention and your mind is empty of all kinds of unrelated thoughts which affect negatively your study. It means pinpointing all your cerebral abilities in your studies. You can understand it by an example, the sun’s rays cannot burn a paper directly but when these rays are converged by a magnifier lens they burn a hole in the paper, likewise converging all your cerebral abilities helps you in the fruitful study. Below are some tips to enhance your concentration for studies.
Get 6-8 Hours’ Sleep
for refreshment and ease of mind, one needs at least six hours of sleep. You can concentrate more easily with a fresh mind.
Exercise Daily
Physical exercise is a must to increase your concentration. Exercise increases blood circulation in the body and brain, this circulation eliminates waste products from the mind and keeps it nourished. For a healthy body, you also need to exercise, if your body is healthy and is without any kind of stress then you can concentrate more easily.
Choose a Place with fewer Distractions
Keep your study table away from the distractions and things which decrease your devotion to studies like T.V., songs, video games, maps etc. study in such a place where you have less or no disturbance because of sounds. Your study room should be away from home entrances as far as possible so that visitors and guests can not disturb you easily.
Do not Multi-task
Do not mix other works with studies. If you are studying then concentrate on your book only. Do not mix studying with watching television, chatting or talking on the phone.
Priorities Your Study
Always make a schedule for your study and prioritize what topics should be done first and which one needs to be done last. If you study random topics your mind may divert to the point that” this topic needs my concentration or I must be doing that topic right now” and these thoughts might consume your concentration. Take Breaks in Long Study Hours
Long study hours can make you feel bored and you lack concentration in your study. Refresh your mind by having small breaks to keep your concentration engaged.
Have Healthy breakfast
Always have breakfast even if you are in a hurry to go somewhere because breakfast is rich in protein, carbohydrates and low sugar which is good for your health. When you skip your breakfast you feel lazy and hungry all day long and you cannot concentrate when you are hungry. When you avoid breakfast, You end up taking a heavy lunch because of hunger which leads to laziness and sleepiness.
Avoid Caffeine
Products like coffee or tea which contain caffeine can make you alert or active for some time to stay awake while you study but with time they make you lethargic and slow, so avoid coffee and tea to stay awake.

Sometimes studying with someone else can help to understand much better. It gives more clarifications, clarifies confusing concepts by bouncing ideas off of someone else, and see things from various point of view. Suppose you can’t concentrate on your studies so that time your partner will help you to focus and concentrate on the task in front of you.
Avoid constant sensory input
Avoid doing various work at one time, far away from loud noises, and visual stimulation (such as from a T.V.) because these things are made concentration much more difficult, and being around them or doing them too much can put you into a habit of non-attention which can be hard to break.
Learn to Meditate
Nowadays Meditation is the most powerful of all concentration enhancement techniques. Learn a few simple meditation techniques and practice them for at least five minutes daily.
Stay calm
Stay calm always. Deep concentration is a matter of increasing or directing your life-force or conscious, cosmic energy. Learn to be calmly concentrated and be concentratedly calm. The more of this kind of energy you have, the better. Scattered energy doesn’t help. It must be calm, focused energy.
