We call it the AIR (Attention, Intention, and Repetition) process. First, pay attention to something you are trying to memorize. Because if you don’t, you cannot expect your brain to retain it. Secondly, the more Intention you give it the easier it is to memorize. Because it is easier to attain what you intend to achieve. Finally, Repetition helps you memorize faster. Revise repeatedly, what you have learnt.
Relax if your brain is exhausted. Walk off your study table and get some fresh air. Also make sure that your study is well ventilated because less oxygen can exhaust your brain, obstructing concentration. Try moving around to boost your circulation, if you have been sitting for a long. Avoid revising at this time. Instead, try out something that you enjoy doing. This will give your brain a new focus.
Be active in mental activity. Try reading reference materials, or listening to lectures, rather than passively reading through them. Lastly, don’t look for easy answers in stimulants like tea or coffee. These are merely short term remedies, and being too much dependent on these might have serious impacts on your brain and health.

Slowly try to avoid social media:
You cannot avoid your bad habit at one time. You try to leave your habit slowly. So If you want to leave social media then you have to avoid it gradually. Put your phone on silent mode and place it at the other end of the room. This way, you won’t be interrupted by phone calls or text messages while you’re studying. You can always check your phone every when you take a break.
Intense Focus:
When you apply your whole energy to a single task without any distraction, you get the best result. So make your focus like a magnifying glass. Instead of wasting your energy on social media, apply your whole energy to your studies.
Get Sufficient Sleep
For refreshment and ease of mind, one needs at least six hours of sleep. You can concentrate more easily with a fresh mind.
Exercise Daily
Physical exercise is a must to increase your concentration. Exercise increases blood circulation in the body and brain, this circulation eliminates waste products from the mind and keeps it nourished. For a healthy body, you also need to exercise, if your body is healthy and is without any kind of stress then you can concentrate more easily.
Choose a Place with fewer Distractions
Keep your study table away from the distractions and things which decrease your devotion to studies like T.V., songs, video games, maps etc. study in such a place where you have less or no disturbance because of sounds. Your study room should be away from home entrances as far as possible so that visitors and guests can not disturb you easily.
Do not Multi-task
Do not mix other works with studies. If you are studying then concentrate on your book only. Do not mix studying with watching television, chatting or talking on the phone. Also, do not overdo yourself in household chores.
Priorities Your Study
Always make the schedule of your study and prioritize what topics should be done first and which one needs to be done last. If you study random topics your mind may divert to the point that” this topic needs my concentration or I must be doing that topic right now” and these thoughts might consume your concentration. Take Breaks in Long Study Hours
Long study hours can make you feel bored and you lack concentration on your study. Refresh your mind by having small breaks to keep your concentration engaged.
Have Healthy breakfast
Always have breakfast even if you are in hurry to go somewhere because breakfast is rich in protein, carbohydrates, and low sugar which is good for your health. When you skip your breakfast you feel lazy and hungry all day long and you cannot concentrate when you are hungry. When you avoid breakfast, You end up taking a heavy lunch because of hunger which leads to laziness and sleepiness.
Avoid Caffeine
Products like coffee or tea which contain caffeine can make you alert or active for some time to stay awake while you study but with time they make you lethargic and slow, so avoid coffee and tea to stay awake.
